iCON is a state-of-the-art controller for machine tool automation that has been developed through years of R&D and is proudly brought to you by System Electronics, the company that has been designing and manufacturing CNC controllers for over 25 years.

iCON comes with a platform of sophisticated hardware for the network-enabled, fully functional, flexible, feature packed software package, pre-progarmmed to your specific machine tool applications in order to deliver an intelligent industrial controller with an intuitive touch screen interface.  Software applications are available to support a diverse range of industrial automation needs. If our current range does not meet your requirements, we will work with you to refine or develop customised iCON software to control your specific application needs. 

iCON has been designed to replace previous generations of machine tool controls and to automate operations that are currently manual. A typical application could be a multi axis control of an existing pressbrake or a cut to length line or a plate roll application. 

iCON provides  a cost effective, easily installed, easily evolved solution. The controllers are designed for installation by your own local support engineers/technicians. They offer greater flexibility than the old PLC approach and more efficiency of operation than an unwieldy industrial PC. For outside system integrators we offer the complete project package called the iCON System, which provides all the doucmentation - from an on-site assessment form to suggested install engineering drawings and both Technical and Operator's manuals. Thus removing the project risk burdon associated with one-off application developments.

iCON controllers can operate as independent, shop floor automation solutions. However, by linking them to iCON Manager software on your PC, you can communicate to any or all of your iCON controllers via your computer network to program job schedules, to access productivity reports or to check on maintenance requirements etc.

System Electronics is dedicated to ensuring that each iCON application  continues to provide the very best and most up-to-date in electronic capability and, hence, each application is constantly monitored and upgrades are developed if required. The introduction of upgrades, indicating the latest revision level identifiing code will be announced on this website.  The revision level of each iCON at time of purchase is shown in its accompanying documentation.

The versatility of the priciples underlying iCON is one of its key strengths and the System Electronics research and development team is continually working on new applications. However, they are very happy to work with you on the co-creation of an application.
